With regards to the concerns and questions that have been raised regarding the Coronavirus.We all face a difficult challenge responding to the Coronavirus, COVID-19, which the World Health Organization has declared a pandemic. The safety of our customers, employees, families, and visitors remains the overriding priority of the CMH GROUP.We are vigilantly monitoring the COVID-19 situation and implementing additional precautionary measures within all CMH GROUP Dealerships in order to avoid and decrease the spread of the Coronavirus.
To aid in minimizing the spread of the virus, all CMH Group Dealerships and offices have implemented the following measures.1. Encourage employees and Customers to regularly and thoroughly clean their hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water.
2. Customers and Employees will be given hand Sanitiser on entry to the Dealership.
3. As has always been the norm in CMH Group workshops, the customer vehicles will have protective gear, steering wheel covers, and seat covers, etc fitted on arrival, and the inside of the vehicle and outside touchpoints will be sanitized before customer collection.
4. All Dealerships are disinfected regularly throughout the day, this includes all touch surfaces, door handles, railings, taps, desks, computers, cell phones, credit card terminals, keys (Customers), etc. The Coronavirus is not airborne, it relies on touch.
5. Any CMH Group Staff member, should they show or experience any cold or flu-like symptoms, have been requested to go and see a medical practitioner right away.
6. Maintain social distancing, by maintaining at least 1-metre distance between yourself and the next person.
7. Practice respiratory hygiene, making sure you, and the people around you, follow good respiratory hygiene. Cover your mouth and nose with a bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze.
At the CMH Group, your health and the health of our staff are of paramount importance. Consequently, we will ensure that the required protocols will be applied diligently.

Finalists and Award Winners Announced at Glittering Sewells-MSXI NADA Business of the Year Awards
Sewells awards are the only independent assessment for the performance of the Retail Motor Industry. Sewells focuses on the financial returns achieved.
These awards are presented annually. There are 15 nominations out of ± 1400 dealers divided into 5 sections across all franchises. This year we have 5 nominations which is an outstanding achievement, making up 33% of the total industry – we must be doing something right.
My congratulations go to the DP’s, franchise directors and support teams involved. Very well done – we must also have had some very close misses.

The National Automobile Dealers’ Association Presents Lifetime Achievement Awards at Business of the year Event to CEO Jebb McIntosh
The National Automobile Dealers’ Association (NADA) awarded its highest honour, the NADA Lifetime Achievement Award, to a deserving recipients at a function which took place at the Kyalami Conference Centre in Midrand on 7 March, 2019.
The award was presented to the person, in the view of the NADA judging panel, who has had a successful career in the retail motor industry and has most notably raised the profile and reputation of the association.
This year, the NADA Lifetime Achievement Award honoured a worthy beneficiaries. Jebb McIntosh, CEO of the CMH Group, for having distinguished themselves in their dedication to the industry.
Jebb McIntosh, accepted the prestigious award. Derik Scorer, NADA Senior Vice-Chairman paid tribute to this stalwart and icon of the motor industry.
“Jebb has served the retail motor industry having been a member of various national dealer bodies. He also served on the retail motor groups’ forum and, in 1982, was nominated as Ford Businessman of the Year,” said Scorer in paying tribute to the honouree.
“Most importantly, he has worked tirelessly over many years in support of dealer issues, adding value through his clear and insightful views. His introduction and mentorship of a host of industry executives has enriched the professionalism of the industry. Throughout his career, Jebb has combined his financial acumen with a passionate sales drive and entrepreneurial flair. He is a hard-driven motorman with a gutsy approach to challenges.”
“This award is in recognition of his tenacious passion and relentless dedication over many years to changing and improving the trading environment within the South African retail automotive sector. Jebb’s legacy of inspirational and visionary leadership will be etched in the annuals of the South African Motor Industry for eternity,” concluded Scorer.
